Let’s have a look at some of the most important exercises which are known for yielding a lot of benefits for your bundle of joy.

  1. Sit-ups

Age: 4 months

Pull your baby up in a sitting posture to enable him/her to flex her muscles. This will strengthen his/her muscles in arms, shoulders, back, and core with each pull. As you will be pulling your kid up, he/she will try to align her head with her body posture which will enable him/her to learn how to maintain balance. Sit-ups also increase the chances of your infant learning to start to sit down at an earlier period than usual as he/she will be familiar with the posture and how to contain himself/herself in it.

  1. Bicycling

Age: 0 months onwards

Well, I don’t mean that literally but as well! You don’t have to get a bicycle for your infant but move his/her legs up and around in a manner that it looks like bicycling. This will strengthen your infant’s abdominal, hip, and leg muscles and also smoothen the knee movements. This will also release gases from the kid.

  1. Weightlifting

Age: 4 to 6 months

Kids are great at grasping things, so why not use those things as weightlifters? This will enable your kid to strengthen her arm muscles and also learn coordination. Make him/her sit and teach how to pick toys one by one and lift them, and there you go!

  1. Rotate your baby’s head

Age: 2 to 3 months

This exercise is crucial for building head muscles of the baby by encouraging him/her to move her head sideways while they are lying down. Since the neck and head muscles are very delicate in the beginning, this exercise will give them the necessary strength.
